Filed under: Diet and Weight Loss , Celebrities and Entertainment Kathy Ireland’s weight rollercoaster has made a big splash in the news lately. After seeing a jawdropping picture of herself 25 pounds heavier than during the catwalk years, she took immediate action to lose weight. I find Ireland’s story both comforting and empowering. Superhuman supermodels are never supposed to gain weight, right? But then they get married, their L’Oreal contract expires and two kids/too many PB&J triangles later, they’re supermortal like the rest of us. Ireland explains that as she hit her 40s (which I lovingly refer to as The Potential Decade of Waistline Expansion), her body changed and those daily sugar fixes took a toll. Shoot, I just
had an exceedingly healthy breakfast followed by a handful of foil-wrapped chocolate Easter eggs. I’m 41 — bad call. Pouring a giant glass of water right now. In her new book, Real Solutions for Busy Moms: Your Guide to Success and Sanity , she shares how to balance family and career needs with your own health. Ireland has shown that belly fat the door, and so can you. The modeling world may not call her so often anymore, but I bet the women’s health mags are furiously dialing away. Ireland is as beautiful, fit and mortal as ever. <img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/s/noscript?tag=mybreacancblo-20" alt="" /> Health Blog | Health Blog | Health Blog | Health Blog
